Meeting/Event Information

The Environmental Department operates Logan Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility which consists of a mechanical plant,  460 acres of lagoons, and 240 acres of wetlands to treat and further polish the wastewater. The treatment plant receives approximately 18 million gallons per day as an annual average. The sources of the wastewater received include wastewater from residences, businesses and large industries.

Our wastewater treatment system services the communities of Logan, Smithfield, Hyde Park, North Logan, River Heights, Providence, Nibley, and Utah State University. In 2022, Logan updated the lagoons to a mechanical plant in order to accommodate more stringent ammonia and phosphorous standards as well as future total nitrogen limits.
